New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program

The New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) Entrepreneurial Stream is for experienced entrepreneurs or executive managers who are ready to establish, operate and actively manage a business while living and settling in New Brunswick permanently.

The NBPNP, administered by the Department of Post Secondary Education, Training and Labour (“the Department”), is an immigration recruitment and selection program that allows the Government of New Brunswick to nominate individuals with the greatest ability to become economically established in New Brunswick.

Experienced business people can receive a nomination certificate from the Province of New Brunswick if they meet certain minimum requirements:

·       Be aged 22 to 55;

·       Meet the minimum level of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 5 in English or Niveaux de compétence linguistique canadiens (NCLC) 5 in French in all four language abilities: reading, writing, listening and speaking; 

·       Have relevant and proven management experience in two to five of the last five years;

·       Have a personal net worth of at least CA$600,000 (of which CA$300,000 must be liquid and available to be invested in New Brunswick);

·       Have an approved business plan;

·       Have an understanding of the business environment in New Brunswick and complete an exploratory visit to New Brunswick; and

·       Be willing to sign a business investment agreement with the Province of New Brunswick and to settle permanently in New Brunswick.
